It probably has the license hidden either in the registry or in a file
that's either hidden or located in an odd directory and not removed when the
program is uninstalled. For help in knowing which file to delete in order to
cleanly install the game again you should contact the game authors.

It's downloading now and will probably be done in less ... an hour and I'll have a fully patched ready to play classic game....
