Hi James,

Sounds like you need to repair windows by reinstalling it over
itself. It will not destroy your data and installed programs.

| First of all, thank you for your advice, but what you
| suggested I had just completed when I re-checked the
| message boards. I still have the same problem occuring
| when I try to open the game (Age of Mythology), and when I
| try to restart the computer, I get a message stating
| that "Windows failed to upgrade %1 from %2" in what seems
| to be a random amount of messages each time I restart.
| Also, I was receiving an error message (which apparently
| no longer appears) having something to do with a *.dll; do
| I perhaps need to uninstall some previous software? If so,
| how do I do it? All of my previous attempts (by using the
| instructions provided in the html document on the page
| that includes all of the MS XML downloads) have ended in
| failure. In addition, when trying to open the msxml
| installer package or the msxmlenu file, I receive two
| error messages:
|
| Error Starting Program
| The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export
| MSI.DLL:222
|
| and
|
| C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msxml.msi
| C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msxml.msi
| A device attached to the system is not functioning
|
| Please help me, I really want to play Age of Mythology.
