First of all, thank you for your advice, but what you
suggested I had just completed when I re-checked the
message boards. I still have the same problem occuring
when I try to open the game (Age of Mythology), and when I
try to restart the computer, I get a message stating
that "Windows failed to upgrade %1 from %2" in what seems
to be a random amount of messages each time I restart.
Also, I was receiving an error message (which apparently
no longer appears) having something to do with a *.dll; do
I perhaps need to uninstall some previous software? If so,
how do I do it? All of my previous attempts (by using the
instructions provided in the html document on the page
that includes all of the MS XML downloads) have ended in
failure. In addition, when trying to open the msxml
installer package or the msxmlenu file, I receive two
error messages:

Error Starting Program
The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export
MSI.DLL:222

and

C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msxml.msi
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msxml.msi
A device attached to the system is not functioning

Please help me, I really want to play Age of Mythology.
