I can't think of many games out there that *don't* have this sort of setup.
Complaining about that is like complaining that cars need gas...
About the only example I can think of (recently) that doe ssomething like
what you want is some of Blizzard's games (Diablo - the original) that could
install a "spawn" copy that was *very* limited. Even Missionforce:
Cyberstorm only let you install one CD on one machine - though they supplied
two CDs, standard...
