Hey Jimmy,

I checked my Add/Remove programs and indeed it's there,
listed as "MSXML 4.0 SP2 Parser and SDK" and "MSXML4
Parser"

I loaded Freelancer and the same problem still exists.
Basically from the main menu I go to load my game and the
screen where it lists all the saved games, on the left
side there's "Load", "Delete",
and "loc="center"/><TEXT>MAIN" (which is to go back to the
main menu.

Then, when I enter a game and let's say I try to look at
the description of a weapon or ship it says:
"<?xml version="1.0"
encoding="UTF-16"?><RDL><PUSH/><TRA data="1" mask="1"
def="-2"/><JUST loc="center"/><TEXT> (Description of ship
begins)"

That first part that states "?xml" is what led me to
believe the problem was with XML. Do you have any other
suggestions?
