Hi Elmore,
    Are you logging on as an administrator of the machine, if not. Add
yourself to the administrators group and try installing it. Some
applications require administrative rights in XP. Also confirm you have all
the latest windows updates. New machines often only have the released
software drivers, rather then the later ones.
