ok, i went to the links specified, and saw an
improvement, then went and did several speed tests, at
dslreports.com, got mixed results, sometimes i was
blazing fast, 2.4 meg, probably a result of going to
tcpoptimizer and downloading the tweaks. other times i
was slow as mollasses, 329 kilo. went to my game server
site and played a little bit. still experiencing lag,
even though my ping is good. the results of the tracert
are as follows.

it seems that heavy traffic is causing me to lagg out.If
i were to show another tracert to that site it might get
better results, or worse. i have been to the
http://www3.sympatico.ca/nibblesnbits/TraceRoute.html web
site and saw good results too.
is there a way to suggest a different ping path without
as much packet loss? or should i just accept the fact
that my server is bogged down with heavy traffic?
thanks. what else can be done?
