Form confirmation pages

Front page makes me crazy sometimes becuase it does things whose explanation
seem to escape me.
Once upon a time I built a page from a dynamic web template and in an
uneditable region I put a form with two text boxes. It worked fine until I
hooked up a confirmation page to it and now it gives a Front Page error and
I cannot figure out why. I have tried to put the form in an editible region
and it does the same thing. Anyone have any clues about this?
