Re: Deleting Files on Server

Hi,

Yes I have now got a response. It seems the online and offline databases are
out of sync and so had to reupload whole site to get back in sync. Now works
fine, but took some time to upload ;-) thank goodness for broadband.

Thanks for all the help.

Martin.

Any other suggestions? Seems like the local and remote sites aren't
synchronised or something, so doesn't detect deleted files, only changed
and new files.

All the best,
Martin.

Hi,

When publishing my site, I used to get a message "File exists on Server,
but not on Local Computer - Do You want to remove it?" after I had
deleted a file from my local computer, when editing my site.

But the trouble is now I delete files and this message never appears, so
the files stay on the server.

I would really want to delete the files that are on the server but not
on the local PC without having to find them all by hand.

Does anyone know how to get this to work again?

I am currently using FP2002 under Windows XP.

All the best,
Martin.

After you deleted more files, did you hit the Publish button again?

Do that, and you will probably get that message to return.

Do you have any server support folks to ask?
