Link to Access Database via DSN

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hello,
I know how to link an .asp form to an Access database, provided the database
is within the subweb, for example in a sub folder called DATA.
No problem.

However, in my provider's structure, databases should really be stored
OUTSIDE the subweb, at the root in a folder called Data. For this, I can
create a DSN name.

The problem I have is to enter this data into FrontPage LOCALLY, before
loading it onto the server. I know that the resolution is in the area of
Tools/Websettings/Database/System Data Source on Web Server. But I do not
have access to this as I am local. I have tried via ODBC Data Source
(Control Panel) but my global.asa file never seems to be right!

Any ideas? Thanks a lot. Greetings, Doris

.
