New member with question about source control
Hello,
I am having a problem at work with an internal web site that uses
source control. We recently moved the web site to a new server with
FrontPage extensions. We make all our changes live (as opposed to
publishing them). However, we did "publish" the site to a file area (no
FrontPage extensions) on a different server to use as a backup. To
summarize: the local site is the actual live site and the remote site
is the backup.
When I turn on source control and open a file in the local site, I get
a padlock instead of a check mark and I can't save the file. According
to the CheckOut Status report, the "checked out by" is a userid created
by ISS (Internet Information Services). The only way I can get back
control of the file is to turn off source control.
Any suggestions?
