Publishing Help: _derived folder missing

This has probably been covered before but I couldn't find it - apologies
if it has.

When I File>Publish using FP2002 the _derived folder that contains all
of the images for my menus is not uploaded to my host. What am I doing
wrong ?

This has been bugging me for weeks.

I have tried Tools>Recalculate Hyperlinks but this (and anything else I
think of) has not worked.

For some reason, do I need to FTP this folder seperately ?

Any help that would prevent me banging my head (further) into the wall
would be greatly appreciated.
