Hover Buttons Problem -- FrontPage 2003

Is there a problem with FP2003 and how it handles the older "hover buttons"
of past? If I open a previously constructed web page containing hover
buttons, edit and then save the file, the hover buttons are trashed when the
file is reopened.

Is their any fix to this besides redoing the page with less desirable
"interactive buttons"?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
