Continued publishing problem

Here's where things stand.

I signed up with another host. They gave me an IP address and new
DNS.

I HAVE NOT changed the DNS yet.

I tried to publish to the IP address of the new host and I am getting
the same problem -- FP seems to start publishing, then, one of the
following happens:

-- Listing files in c://mydomain.org; listing files in http://mydomain.org;
then I get the error message -- see below.

OR

-- Listing files in c://mydomain.org; listing files in http://mydomain.org;
starts publishing -- the green progress line runs across the bottom of
the screen, gets about half-way over and stops then I get the error
message -- see below.

When I go to the IP address, I see about half my website -- it appears
to be partially published.

MEANWHILE, I go back to the original host and publish to http://mydomain.org
and I get essentially the same thing -- FP starts to publish, then I
get the error message. However, I made changes on a couple of pages
as a test and the changed pages are now published, although I am still
getting the error message.

I don't know any other way to explain what's happening -- hope this is
not too confusing.

Here's the error message:

Could not find a Web server at 'mydomain.org' on port 80. Please check
to make sure that the Web server name is valid and your proxy settings
are set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the Web
server may be temporarily out of service.
