You don't login unless the live/remote server has the FP extensions
installed, which you haven't answered.
When you go to publish your site to a server that doesn't have the FP
extensions, you must select File Menu | Publish Web / Site and enter the
destination similar to the following "ftp://ftp.domain.com and then enter
the login info provided by your web host.

Does the site have the FP extensions installed?
In general, FP can only login a individual account setup with the FP
extensions.
With uploading via FTP, the FTP login must be associates with location
that you want to upload content too, as FP doesn't give you any option
to set a location once you have logged in.

ok i will agree with that.. but im still going to ask .. where can i
find the logon dialog box? it comes up every day or 2 and its FP
asking me for the uid/pw to logon to earthlink.
I want to be able to bring up that dialog box and then put in the
uid/pw for which ever one I want to.
I can do this via FTP just not FP.
Am I making sense yet of what I am asking for?

Ok, what works for you?
It really depends on how your web host has their server configured to
support multiple domains as to how you would access each.

Publishing is not the same as accessing (logon) the site with FP.

Unless the FP extensions are installed you can not open the site
in FP. You need to check with your web host regarding your
account type, options, etc.

I have created 2 sites on my ISP with 2 different user ids.
How do I logon to either one via FP? They are on the same
server (earthlink) but different userids on the same acct.
