Password Protecting Pages With ASP

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I was wondering if anyone could give me some helpful hints (possible
pitfalls too?) and starting places to password protect my website with ASP
and an Access database? I looked but did not find a topic on this matter.
I have found two sites with free code but do not think they necessarily do
all I want them to do? They are:

http://jetstat.com/
