kinda looks like a memory thing, try closing down some other running programs see if that helps.
i get something similar after using Adobe Acrobat or Reader, and also if Winfax is running...both memory hogs. I usually have to reboot after using Adobe: Acrobat, Reader, Photoshop - they never seem to release memory after I close them.
