When you run ASP, you're not running under the System user, or yourself, as
you would be with an executable. The IUSer<machine name> anonymous Internet
User account has very few privileges. In order to insert or update or delete
records in an Access database, the account must have the necessary file
system permissions, as the database file is changed by the operation.
As to the MSDE errors, you would have to post the specific errors in order
for me to help. I'm not going to be helpful with FrontPage errors, as I
never use FrontPage to do database work (I write my own). But there are
people here who are familiar with the DRW and the FrontPage errors. I'm
hoping one of them will chime in.
I can help you with database errors that are "raw" (not intercepted aby
FrontPage and translated into something proprietary).
