After you have tried all the steps listed below (some of which you say you have),
and if it seems to be related mainly to your index or home page,
look for something common on your index pages that may be causing it
(a script or server side call you always use, etc)
and try removing that element

Try the usual repairs in the sequence below:
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Temp
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file hidden file CMDUI.PRF
Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State
4) Run a Repair on IE
(see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378 )
5) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
6) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
7) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

| Mike,
|
| No, MS did not resolve my problem as of yet. I've spent
| about 4 hours today connected to India trying to fix
| this. We've done a complete uninstall, including all
| keys, registers, temp files, folders, and reinstalled
| (complete version) several times to no avail. They are
| planning to research it further and return a call to me
| tomorrow.
|
| To answer your question, no, it doesn't necessarily happen
| to any page I open (webs existing on my computer), but
| sometimes it does. It absolutely occurs when I try to
| open the index pages on any web I have.
|
| Any thoughts will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
