If anyone has a clue, thought, experience, or suggestion
here, please add your two cents (or more...)
Dear Steve,
Thank you for your insight. I tried that - and thirty
variations on the theme - to no avail.
As I see it, there are three ways to approach the
solution. One is the right way, one is an easy way, and
the third is unthinkable, motivating my visit here for
the fifth time to resolve this specific issue.
3: Wipe out the entire web, and start over.
2: Adjust permissions on the Server (FPSE?).
1: On the destination Server, rename MyWeb as MyWeb2.
Create a new folder and name it MyWeb. On the
destination Server, from MyWeb2 to MyWeb, copy & paste
_vti_script and _vti_txt. Go back to the source web, and
publish - creating new & virgin instances of all
ancillary files in the web through the publish automation
in FP.
Well, I worried about finding the right solution for the
wrong reason, so any "Professional" help would certainly
serve well to put my mind at ease.
If you recommend #3, I keell you!
Love and literals,
Matthew

Usually when FP references a file with a double file
extension ending in
..tmp it "thinks" that there is an unsaved file open.
So, close FrontPage. Do a file search for files named
*.tmp and delete all
found, do a file search for files named *.web and delete
all found.
Clear your browser Temporary Internet and History files.
Reopen FrontPage and then try.
