Thomas,
Thanks for your advice but in following it I've not been able to download
the files.
1) I'll not be downloading to the same computer as the previous webmaster.
2) Not sure about the local IIS web server reference for this situation.
3) I have FrontPage 2002.
For sites I have created/maintained in the past the files have resided in a
"My Webs" folder (and of couse sub-folders).
For these sites I am able to do
-- File/Open Web
-- see "open web" dialog open
-- enter "http://www.domainname.com" in field called "web name"
-- click OPEN
-- see "Connect to www.domainname.com" dialog open
-- in dialog enter "User Name" and "password" fields.
But when i attempt to do this for "http://www.newest_site.com"
I get the following error message
"The folder "http://www.newest_site.com" isn't accessible. The floler may
be located in an unavailable location, protected with a password or the
filename contains a / or \."
this occurss after clicking "open" so the "Connect to ..." dialog hasn't
even displayed to give me th opportunity to enter "username" and "password".
For this newst site I've not yet created a file folder.
Hope this is clear.
