"I am using ftp to publish because FP 2003 will not accept http as a way to
publish the web. The username and password are not acepted when I try it."
You *must* http publish to a web with the extensions installed, or the web
components will not work. FTP will corrupt the extensions, which will have
to be repaired or reinstalled and reconfigured.
Normally, a FTP password is different than the one used for http://
publishing. Ask your host what the correct password is supposed to be.

|I have been trying for days to publish a simple web form created using the
| Form in FP 2003. The web is being published from my hard drive to the
server.
| The server has the extensions installed, I have double checked and had the
| Tech guys on the server end try and help with no satisfaction.
|
| When I go to publish I get a box appear with the form name Test_Form.htm
and
| the message to say that:
|
| "The following pages in your Web Site contain dynamic FrontPage
components,
| such as Search Form or a frontPage form Handler. They will not work
because
| the server you are publishing to does not have the FrontPage Server
| Extensions or SharePoint Services installed."
|
| They are installed. I can see the _vti_inf.html file; postinfo.html file;
| gdform.asp file and the technical guys at Wild West are scratching their
| heads because they have no idea why it will not work.
|
| I am using ftp to publish because FP 2003 will not accept http as a way to
| publish the web. The username and password are not acepted when I try it.
|
| I have searched and read many threads and they all seem to be similar
| problems but different.
|
| I want the form to send an email with the form data to me and I want the
| person who submits the form to be able to go to another site on submit.
|
| Please help. Or I just bite the bullet and go and purchase Dream Weaver!!!
