Hi,
I have hunted for the answer to this with no joy.
I am trying to test a web site with some submit forms in it (created in
Front Page xp using the templates). I am running win xp pro and I have
installed Front Page XP, IIS and FPSE. I have imported all the forms into a
new web under the wwwroot directory.
I have been trying to configure the SMTP server and the Sever Extensions,
but no matter what I try, the form does not submit the email.
In the Server Extensions Administrator I have tried filling in the email
settings with:
Webservers mail address: My own email account
Contact Address: My own email account
SMTP Mail Server: My isp's
I also went into the IIS console into the the Default SMTP Virtual Server
and set the IP address to that of my machine. I then tried setting the SMTP
Mail Server (In the Server Extensions Administrator) to the same IP address.
The help simply states to fill in the SMTP address box, but gives no
explanation of what an entry should look like.
Please help.
