Open Internet Explorer
View->Text Size
Set to Normal
When the student finishes her design I suggest she previews in a browser (preferably FireFox which is not affected by use of pixels or points for font sizes as IE is) and then uses the above menu to change the text size to largest - since she is using layers, the page will probably break.

Hello.
I work in a school and provide support to all the staff and pupils.
1 pupil, who is designing a website as part of her GCSE ICT coursework has
thrown me up a problem that I can't seem to find reason for.
She has created a Template page (DWT) and on it put a layer and made it into
an editable region.
Here's the confusing part.... whatever text she puts into that box at say
font size 8, whenever you goto the Preview of the page, the text size has
increased.
It happens with any text she puts in on the page, the preview will show it
almost double the size.
Why is this?, and more importantly, how can we fix it?
Thanks in advance,
Wil.
