Thanks Pat. Especially for telling me about Expressions 2. I have no desire
to be a web techie. I've moved and want to change host services to Comcast.
I'm a novelist and want to take down my old website (historical novels) and
launch a new mystery website.
Here's my old link: http://www.charlottehinger.com
Here's my (tentative) new site http://home.comcast.net/~charlottehinger
Please remember, the original issue was that I couldn't move my cursor from
column to column. That's still the main issue. I had started a great site
in Publisher. That's crazy easy to get the all the formatting right, but
there are hosting issues. Sharepoint works like charm with Comcast.

Charlotte, it is not necessary to overwrite you current index page. Just.
publish the page with a new name and send us the link.
You can certainly upgrade to Expression Web but to my mind it requires you
to learn something about writing code and using css to use the program
successfully. I posted this a couple of days ago

Didn't work, or maybe I'm just not understanding. Can I get this to you
by
overwriting my index page--since I'm not happy with it anyway--then
posting
it to my remote website and sending you the link?
I want to replace my old website. http://charlottehinger.com
I see I'm eligible for a upgrade from FP to Expressions. Does EX offer
more
in the way of formatting?

In general, when designing a web page forget anything and everything you
learned in Publisher. Web pages are completely different.
file:///C:/Users/Charlotte/Documents/My Web Sites/Comcast Website/New
index
try.htm is located on YOUR computer - I don't have access to your
computer,
so cannot see the page.
When you place the first image in a column, click on the image, then tap
the
right arrow on the keyboard followed by the Enter key. The next image
can
now be dragged below the first.
We cannot help with the first column without seeing the page.

The layout is a blank page, then a layout table from a FP template.
There's
a header bar, then 3 columns, then a narrow page spanning tab at the
bottom.
The tables are on the same page. If I can get it to work, I'm going to
overwrite the original index page, which is "acting" the same way.
Some history might help: I started with an empty website, found I
couldn't
produce the kind of formatting I'd used in Publisher, so saved some of
my
Publisher graphics as pictures, and copied them into this FP site. I
can't
drag and drop from one column to the other successfully. Pictures go
off
to
the side of other picture instead of below. I can't access the far
left
column.
I'm sending you the link. I'm trying to place a new picture right
under
the
box that says "coming soon" but can't get my cursor into that column.
file:///C:/Users/Charlotte/Documents/My Web Sites/Comcast Website/New
index
try.htm
Can I send this as an attachment? I don't understand now you can see
it.
Thank you.

Need more information:
Are the tables in the same page? Different pages? Next to each other?
One
below the other?
A link to the page will help, or at least post the HTML markup here.
Drag and drop a picture from where to where? And what does "crazy"
really
mean in your case?

Also I can't drag and drop a picture with everything going crazy.
