Did you put it in Code View (aka: HTML)...also if you Copy/Paste from 
another source...like word...it's best to Paste it INTO Notepad first then 
Copy/Paste into Code View/HTML. This strips out garbage.
The safest way is: Insert | Web Components |Advanced Controls | HTML
Then File | Preview In Browser if you wanna see it in a browser
