> Yes I am..! I'm paying for the software
Exactly - You're paying for the *software*
> how am I supposed to learn how to install and use it..? Don't say online
help please
Use the online help. Software always, in my experience comes with
instructions on how to install it.
> I'm paying for the software, I expect manuals.
You're expectations are unrealistic, and you are doomed to a sorrowful
existence, wrought with despair unless you change them.
> Is that hard to understand..?
Yes. no-manual-included is SOP, and has been for some time now. Heck,
computers don't even come with manuals anymore.
>Or should there be a charge to supply them..?
Yes.
>Isn't the price of the software enough..?
No.
>Or do software developers want people to buy 3rd party manuals rather than
supply them..?
Yes. 3rd party manuals have always been superior to included docs. Software
companies are in the *software* business.
Besides, why would anybody want to pay the additional amount for crappy docs
when they could pick docs suited to their particular abilties and interests
instead?
> I have an entire shelf filled with manuals supplied by Novell when I
installed their Netware server OS.
I think you're exaggerating.
>Why can't others do the same..?
Why would they?
> This is my last word on the subject as we're obviously not going to agree.
Obviously, but I'll bet it's not your last word on the subject.
