OK, now I have formated the hard disk and did clean install from WinXP (SP1)
CD. No supected adware or malware. I am using Norton AV 2005 and Zone Alarm
Pro firewall. Visual Studio 6 with SP 6 is installed. No other special
programs except SQL server Desktop Edition is installed.
Based on the comments here, I take it a green signal to go ahead. I am now
starting to installed SP2 from Windows Update.
Will update soon!
