You don't want to diminish the number of colors in a photograph. This works
for a gif but is not a good idea for a photo.See this page:

Removing that large background image would help a bit. It's best no to
underline text that is not a link, such as "Click on...."
Hit Counter is not a link. Do you wish it to be??
