I don't care about questions as long as they help.

combination with a port?

I only have the one site. I don't know if I mentioned this but it is
an Intranet if it makes a difference.

Since the Server menu item is disabled you can't check it until we get
that fixed.

Once you have applied FrontPage Server Extensions to a web site, unless
you completely understand what FrontPage does with permissions, only use
FrontPage to set or change permissions on a site. CACLS is the only
exception that I make when applying a permission that has nothing to do
with the web site as it will not touch other security settings . . .
unless you tell it to.

All I get is text in this forum. If you can post it on a web page on
an Internet web site you can send the URL.

On this server, try creating another site, say on port 8011
(YourMachineName:8011 will be the site), apply FP server extensions and
then see if you can see the Server menu item on that empty site when you
open the site with FrontPage.

That should be pretty fast, just having to make a new folder under
inetpub, then use the IIS MMC to create the site and apply FP Server
extensions. Set the site to anonymous and Integrated Authentication in
the MMC. Then open it in FrontPage and see if you can see the Server
tab.

If that works you should be able to then apply permissions using
FrontPage. Create a Browse ony group in AD and add all your users and
apply that group to the site - only using FrontPage.

I would not attempt to make any changes using Windows Explorer without
doing some serious homework.

Then publish your old site into your new site and try checking
permissions and access again.
