As far as the "Meta tags" goes you can have them removed during
publishing...
Go to "Remote Web Site Properties" > Optimize HTML (tab) and check the boxes
for what you want removed during publishing... Generator & ProgID tags box
is at the bottom.

| Ok this may sound silly but is there a way to turn off any and all of
front
| page 2002 features that cause it to steer away from "normal" html coding.
| Let me try to explain/. For instance I do not want it to place these
meta's
| in pages
| <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
| <meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">
| Nor do I want it to use auto link features, shared borders etc etc. I like
| front page as a html editor and a ftp type program, but I want to have
| complete control over what it does / doesn't do with it built in "special
| features". If this sounds silly I apologize, but like I said I would love
| it if I had more control over what it does. Any tips / suggestions
welcomed.
