Well, I know the answer to whether the site will publish now that I have
copied the files to production using Windows Explorer. The answer is NO. It
tells me that there are changes to the files on both servers and if I tell it
to overwrite the files, it will just turn around and tell me the same exact
thing the next time. Also it does not actually publish any of the files that
have been updated on the development server.
The server extensions check out fine on both servers. I still do not want
to delete the entire production site just so I can republish from
development. I guess I will switch to copying files with Windows Explorer or
use Dreamweaver.
I stand by my assessment that FrontPage Server Extensions are unreliable.
