| Stefan,
| Have read your reply and enclosed the following for you.
|
| The First error window displays
| . A Web does not exist at
| ftp://abcdefg@members.iinet.net.au. Would you like
| FrontPage to create a web at that location? (Answering OK,
| the next window is displayed)
|
| . Unable to
| open 'ftp://abcdefg@members.iinet.net.au'. Possible causes:
| 1. The web server may not have FrontPage Server
| Extensions installed.
| 2. The web server may be temporarily out of service.
| 3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the
| proxy settings may be incorrect.
| 4. An error may have occurred in the web server.
|
| I have grabbed a spare Hard Disk, performed a clean
| install of Windows XP,
| o brought it up to SP1,
| o then loaded Office XP, FrontPage & Publisher 2002,
| o brought them up to date with SP3
| o brought across the Web from the original Hard Disk
| & Uploaded the changes without a hitch.
| o then loaded SP2 and again the same error messages
| appear as above.
|
| I'm able to access the internet with Explorer without a
| hitch, Email messages either through Outlook or Outlook
| Express work fine (this is with both Hard Disks) yet
| Windows SP2 has altered something to dampen FrontPage
| 2002's operability.
|
| If there is any other data that you may be thinking of you
| wish to view or for me to perform something, do let us
| know.
|
| Again thanks.
|
| David W.
