It doesn't take but one or two people (users) to use up all the simultaneous
connections.

Apache will give you more connections, but will not support the server
extensions.

Upgrading to a Windows server platform is the other alternative.

| Thank you for your reply Stefan. Yes, I understand that for medium to
large scale serving, that XP Pro & IIS is not an ideal solution. For my
purposes I think it would be fine. It is for home automation and sharing
photos w/family & friends. I wouldn't expect any more than two or three
people accessing it at any one time. Though admittingly, I'm surprised you
received the error that you did as at 1:36 in the morning on Saturday, 7/10,
only I should have been accessing it from one or two other computers during
some development & web site uploading I was doing that that early hour. The
programs I am using for home automation, weather station monitoring, cam
streaming, and web serving are designed to work in a Win XP environment. Do
you have a recommendation for an alternate OS that would allow my programs
to work well and yet be in a platform that is better suited to serving web
pages?
