Hi,
I have one web site to move to another web hosting server. I use IE6
to save the web site to my local computer. The saving option use
"complete web page (*.htm, *.html)" file type. After saving, below
files (simplified here for illustration purpose) were in my local HD:
frontpage1.htm
frontpage1.files\image1.gif
frontpage1.files\image2.gif
frontpage1.files\image3.gif
frontpage1.files\image4.gif
frontpage1.files\image5.gif
frontpage1.files\image6.gif
frontpage1.files\image7.gif
frontpage2.htm
frontpage2.files\image1.gif
frontpage2.files\image2.gif
frontpage2.files\image3.gif
frontpage2.files\image4.gif
frontpage2.files\image5.gif
frontpage2.files\image6.gif
frontpage2.files\image7.gif
I have an account in tripod.lycos.com and lycos allows user to upload
files using ftp software. I tried FastStream NetFile 5.6 & WS_FTP but
both failed to upload directories frontpage1.files & frontpage2.files
because lycos complained frontpage1.files & frontpage2.files were
illegal file name.
It seemed lycos couldn't handle such case (I have sent e-mail to their
support but of course I still haven't got any reply). I would like to
ask how can I change settings of IE such that when it saves web pages
in above case, no .files subdirectory will appear ?
:(
