Hi Steve,

Try running "frontpg http://www.sitename.com" from the command prompt and
check if it works.

If the above does not work, then in the current admin account where it
freezes do the following,
1. rename the file $Profile\Application
Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State\CMDUI.Prf to OLD_CMDUI.PRF
2. rename the tree \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\FRONTPAGE to
OLD_FRONTPAGE

Regards,
Vijay

|
| I created another Administrator account and started FP.
| After clicking on open site, and typing in the site name
| (full URL), a box appeared saying "Connecting to Web
| server..." It freezes there, though the animated icon
| continues to function. The site does not open.
|
| As to the registry stuff you mentioned, I was not sure
| when to attempt the changes, before my steps above, in
| addition to them, or in place of them, or after them.
|
| Thanks for bearing with me.
