I "mung" my personal email address when posting to newsgroups. This is one
method to help reduce spam:

I don't mind receiving emails from people in regards to newsgroup postings
(although on list is often better) But there are so many spam harvesters out
there..that leaving a real email address is simply asking for more. If you
tried to reply to me directly from the group you would see AA as a portion
of my email address..which makes it invalid. You would need to manually
remove those 2 A's in order to contact me directly.
