You'll need to utilize JavaScript to detect when "other" is selected (clicked, etc.) and determine if the text box contains

i know how to do required fields but what i'm stuck on is this..
i have a form that has
other for a choice.
next to it a have a text box
how do i set up the text box that when they click on other they have to fill
in the text box.

any help would be appericated.
