Ok, what started with minor curiousity is now turning into a quest. In IE
toolbar Edit I have: Frontpage (duh), Word (double duh), Notepad (okie
doke), Excel ( huh??), Top Style Pro (The only way this coulda gotten there
is from being registered in FP right?)

So I actually did try registering DW in FP...its there but doesn't seem to
do much. But, still doesn't show up in IE tools...but all the above DO show
up in Internet Options as HTML editors...all except DW ! Wonder why IE
doesn't pickup DW as an editor...or how to manually add it?
