OK
Can I take this very slowly?
In Folder Options > File types > HTML > Edit > *Edit*, the path was:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\msohtmed.exe" %1
This I changed to:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\msohtmed.exe" "%1"
and guess what ........... it made no difference.
I don't know why, but I felt we were on the right track.
So I looked at: Folder Options > File types > HTML > Edit > *Open*,
and there I had:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\FRONTPG.EXE" %1
This I changed to:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\FRONTPG.EXE" "%1"
and guess what ........... it works!!! (g)
I can now open FP2003 from a .htm file, or shortcut.
Can you explain why the quotes were missing?
I certainly haven't removed them or edited the paths.
Steve, in one of his posts has quoted exactly the same path that
I had, namely:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\msohtmed.exe" %1
so his installation must be the same as mine (huh).
Anyway, thanks to both you and Steve for getting this thing fixed.
I have a sneaky feeling, I may be back.
All the best, to you both.
