I'm going to jump right in here (without reading the rest of the posts about
the difference between and OS and an Application) and say that this person
MIGHT be asking if they need to overwrite Windows ME with Windows XP. They
MIGHT not be asking if Office will overwrite Windows XP. :-)
FrontPage 2003 is not supported on Windows ME and so therefore the answer
would be YES, you have to install Windows XP (and I recommend SP2) before
installing FrontPage 2003.
And so I ask myself: was this question supposed to say:
if I want microsoft office do I need to overwrite my windows XP
or was it supposed to say
if I want microsoft office do I need to overwrite ME with windows XP
