The most seemingly educated guess I can determine is that
when you attempted to open a .pdf file the first time,
maybe you didn't have Acrobat installed, and you got that
dialogue box that comes up asking what program do you
want to use to open the file, and your FrontPage
installation file was highlighted, along with the
checkbox that indicates to always use the same program to
open the file. (I'm running XP on my machine.) What I
suggest you try is to right-click on a .pdf file,
choose "Choose Program" (even though Acrobat may be
listed, don't choose it at first) then choose Acrobat,
and "Always Use This Program" option, and see if it works
for you. Yours is an unusual problem; I hope this works.
