vfp9: "Icon is corrupt or in the wrong format"

Howdy y'all!
Quick question:
I have a set of icons that work just fine in vfp7.
In vfp9, when I try to assign them to the form's icon property, they kick
up the error "icon is corrupt or in the wrong format".
I go back to VFP7 and try, and everything's fine.
I've resampled them to 64x64x265 (as opposed to the 128x128x256 they were
earlier) and I still get the message.
The icons seem to be fine for everything else. Any ideas what's going on?
Thanks!
