Yes I understood about the test scenario, and we
have carried out tests in our own environment without any problems in standalone mode and network.
This may suggest that the network at client end is problematic.
However. I am in Australia and the client is Australian, but the problem occurs in
NZ. Nothing legal, they are very helpful, but they cite examples of
other applications in SQL SERVER using VB.net
running happily (on the same SQL Server Database),
with the same network and workstations and same config.
I understand now it explains the situation.
They would be too happy to change network stuff or machines if we recommend,
but nothing is known for sure, so can't even suggest changing config worth thousands of dollars
Warm Regards
Somnath

You are right Dan, no network no worries but
that is not how the real scenario is supposed to be.
Dan didn't suggest to make the scenario without
network the only or final scenario, just a test
scenario.
I don't know what laws apply to your country
regarding warranty and who has to proof if
the software is fault or working. I don't even
know that stuff for my country.
But it would at least be fair if your customer
gave you that opportunity to test if that eliminates
the errors, also in their own interest.
Bye, Olaf.
