Re: preparing to install and TS

If it is a right problem, why does it work ?
It just display a "prepare to install..."
and then everything works fine.
that's very confusing to me

I will try.

Since it runs as Administrator, it sounds like you may need to navigate to
the location of the MSCOMCT2.OCX (probably C:\Windows\system32 on your
server) right click and choose Properties. From there, the security tab.
You may need to add a group or allow access for Everyone to use this OCX.

Yes, I've included it in the setup.
When I login TS as administrator I don't get the message.
only as a user this "preparing ..." message is showing each time
that form is opened.

And there is also another strange thing !
Each time when starting the exe, only as a user, I get
another message "the resource file is not valid, overwrite it..."

Hi,

Each time when my exe is run under Terminal Server
some forms contain the MsComCtl2.MonthView control
when opening there is a messagebox saying "preparing to install"
and it's closing right away.
At least I think it has something to do with that control.
Because others forms doesn't have this.

Did you include mccomct2.ocx in your app's installation?
Was it installed and registered on the server?
