Report hangs in FPW 2.6

I am still using FPW2.6 for an application on a Windows2003 Server, with
workstations that run Win2000 or XP. Until last week, every report printed
fine, but now there is a report that always hangs (hangs both on preview and
on printer). The report preview window opens up, but it remains blank for
ever, until I kill the ntvdm.exe in the Task Manager. The config.fpw file
contains MEMLIMIT=80,16384,32768 since ever. I get the same error on
different workstations. I have tried with other MEMLIMIT configurations, but
every time it still hangs. Any further suggestions?
