OK Thanks for the tips. Good idea. Still working on it. Having a
problem figuring out how to handle the databases as I will have to
rework the program to handle the databases at the server but run from
the workstation. Appears that all workstations will have to have the
same mapping to the server.Will run some tests to see how it improves
the starting speed. As of now no one has complained as most are using
high speed networks.

My app was originally single-user. It still is, but runs on
multiple stations. At times, the data is gathered to one central
system. This is, however, quite irrelevant to the .exe updating
issue. For multi-user apps, look at locking.
