oh yes I forgot to mention Clipper but this one has some serious bugs
with record/table locking... so I don't like to mention this one.

this is not really the case, but I'm the only "In-house" software developer
who is developing all kinds of "shortcommings" to our main
workshop/accounting application.
and with these "add-on"s some clients became interested because of the
different approach.

Not yet... but they probably will, and as far as my experience goes
(about 5 years part-time, what it's in a name) it's not my big concerning.
I found it very stable and for security reasons ... there is a lot to say
about this
but my knowledge is sure limited,
I would rather say or ask : who is interested in manipulating an internal
damage report file
and what is he capable of and what can he gain ?
I'm more concered in making an applications "smart", which tries to
avoid/validate all kind
of mistakes that people unfortunately do alot (me included....;-)
Those companies who are intrested at the moment, are running an own top
notch ($$ / ??)
application world-wide with SQL or Oracle or whatever as a back-end.
My application is not unique but compared to the "low" price and the easy
use it is....

Ooh Lovely to provide me this good info.
