Upgrade to 9.0 and vcx file error

Hi,
I'm trying to open a class library developed in 7.0 within version 9.0. I
get the following message: "smsbase2.vct is missing or invalid"(error 41,
method refreshclasslist). The same class library opens fine in version 7.0.
Does anybody know of any differences between the 2 versions that could cause
this discrepancy? Is there any upgrade procedure that I should be following?
