I'm using both of them, and the only difference I've seen so far is that
VFP9 has the new report designer. As for stability, the crashes I've been
able to document in VFP8 also occur in VFP9. VFP8 is vastly more stable then
previous versions, and I've not seen anything to indicate that VFP9 is any
less stable. IMNSHO, if you don't need the new report controls, sitck with
VFP8 until VFP9 has been out for a few months
